Where the trend actually began — the first mover in each ecosystem, timestamped.
What it measures
Nexus Origin reconstructs the birth of a trend: for every ecosystem, the earliest qualifying signal in the window, ordered into a timeline. The first entry is the ecosystem that moved first — usually developers or researchers, long before the press.
Knowing where a trend started tells you what kind of trend it is. Research-born trends mature slowly and deeply; media-born trends spike and fade; developer-born trends convert into ecosystems. Origin is the provenance record other tools skip.
How it's computed
All window signals are grouped by ecosystem; the earliest per ecosystem is kept, and the list is sorted by timestamp. Every entry links to its actual source with its real published time — the timeline is fully auditable.

Origin is bounded by the ingestion window — a trend older than the window shows the first signal we saw, not the historical first ever. Timestamps come from the sources themselves.
