Nexus metric
Nexus Confidence™
How well-validated the evidence is — certainty, kept separate from importance.

What it measures
Nexus Confidence (0–100%) measures how much you should trust the current Nexus Signal reading. It rises with independent ecosystem confirmation, source authority and signal volume; it falls when evidence is thin, single-sourced, or when tracked ecosystems are missing from ingestion.
Most trend tools conflate 'big score' with 'certain score'. TrendNexus never does: a subject can matter enormously on thin evidence (high Signal, low Confidence) or be modest but rock-solid. Decisions need both axes.
How it's computed
A blend of independent-source count, aggregate signal volume, and mean source authority, penalized by ingestion coverage gaps (the same gaps Coverage reports). It is displayed beside every Nexus Signal score and never folded into it.
How many of the 8 tracked ecosystems confirm independently.
Same input as cross-source confirmation, applied to certainty rather than importance.
Raw amount of qualifying signals in window.
More independent observations narrow the error bars.
What we cannot see yet.
Ecosystems not yet ingested (search, X) reduce confidence — declared, not faked.
How to read it
75%+
Well-validated
Multiple authoritative, independent confirmations. Act on the reading.
50–74%
Reasonable
Solid evidence with some gaps. Directionally reliable.
25–49%
Thin
Real signals, weak triangulation. Treat the score as provisional.
< 25%
Speculative
Too little independent evidence to trust the reading.
Confidence is about the measurement, not the subject: a 30% confidence score does not mean the subject is 30% likely to succeed — it means our reading of it is still fuzzy.
